5 kids and no time to cook!
I live with my crockpot running. It makes my life easy. With 5 kids, I have no time to stand in the kitchen and trip over kids. So throwing things in at night when the kids are sleeping, or early in the morning before they get up, makes my life simpler. This book gave me a ton of new ideas to throw together for the family. I love having a variety to feed them instead of the same old stuff. Delicious healthy meals that are easy to prepare
I am a slower cooker fanatic! Who wouldn't love delicious meals without slaving over a stove all day?! And the fact that these are all healthy puts the icing on the cake. My family and I have been trying to make better choices when it comes to food so this book came in the nick of time. There are many options to chose from including deserts so I couldn't be happier.
Must Have For Families
Healthy and slow cooking, those two words are like the saving grace of busy families. I did not know all the things you could make in a slow cooker, and avoiding all the processed and artificial ingredients can sometimes be a challenge. This cookbook is easy to follow and will have you cooking meals for your families with little effort!!
Slow cookers make some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten. This book has some good to great recipes for healthy eating in a slow cooker. What I love about slow cookers is you do not have to stress about it and you can throw it in and go about your day. Then poof at dinner time it is done!
My wife loves the Paleo diet! You eat things like your ancestors would have.
We tried four recipes out of this one. I like the pre area where it tell you that your leaving more of your nutrients in the food this way and it seems to help people with health concerns like diabetes, kidney disease, Alzheimer's and more. It teaches you the basics and walks you through your meals. It breaks the fruit and veggies into seasons and it is very helpful. It helps you learn when to go Organic and when it is safe to save.
My wife's favorite is Breakfast Quiche and Thai Sweet and Sour Soup. Mine is Italian Wedding Soup and Sweet Potato Pudding. We are going to try at least a few more but we have loved each one so far! Life can be simplier and healthier.

Loved this book! So many great recipes! I can't wait to try them all! Slow cooking is such and easy way to cook especially for people on the go or not gourmet chefs and hate the thought of cooking after work! I always love how slow cooker recipes turn out!
Delicious and useful!
I swear by my crockpot, and I have used it for countless meals in the past. However, now that I have this cookbook, I'm using it more than ever. The book has 150 delicious recipes to make, and all of them are fresh and healthy. Not to mention, my whole family loves the dishes I make with it. Overall a great read that you won't regret getting!
Aptly Titled Cookbook....eating healthy at Home
If you're like me and want to just eat out after work because you're tired and don't feel like the hassle of fixing something before there's a riot on the home front, then this book is for you! It has many recipes using fresh ingredients that you can easily put together before you leave home or get busy. I really love the homemade yogurt and find it better tasting and no preservatives compared to most store bought brands!
This book has many tips to many incredible recipes for breaksfast snacks lunch and dinner It love beaing able to use this cookbook for anytime of day who knew you can make so many healthy recipes with a crackpot/slowcooker i highly recommend this book
I love using my slow cooker but one complaint is many recipes I find use canned foods and soups for the ingredients. My goal is to save time not sacrifice my health with high sodium ingredients and processed foods. The Healthy Crockpot is full of recipes using all fresh ingredients. They even give you a list of what vegetables and fruits are in season so you can plan your meals to eat what's in season. The recipes are simple and they do not require you do not babysit the crockpot and add ingredients throughout the cooking time. Simply add everything into the pot and walk away until it's time to eat.
