    I loved it. I went after this book because I loved his other series; Fatal Boarding, Deep Crossing, Shock Diamonds. (Read in that order) Same w/ this series, I read out of order, this is the last one (after Glass Hummingbird and The Empty Door) I have yet to read. But this author is incredible, and I will always look forward to more.

    This book has a very interesting plot with alien invasions, creatures from a higher plane, advanced technology and good old fashioned down-to-earth heroes. Almost a "page turner".

    Although the fourth in a series beginning with The Empty Door, I think the book stands on its own. The main characters in this book (Think of a company of actors putting on a series of plays and alternating the lead roles.) are a beautiful computer genius; her genius absent-minded professor father; her boyfriend who is an Army brat raised in Tibet and schooled to become a Master; and a former Civil War officer who is now a member of an advanced group of beings on a higher level who and which is waging a war against aliens and evil. Aliens do not equal evil here. You will like the argument between the robot and the car. Peeve: Word usage. The word "I" is almost always the subject of a sentence. "Me" is used in its place as the object of a sentence or clause.

    Good story, great humor and well-written but far too religious for my taste. Also, apparently a sequel to another book with no upfront reference that one should read the other first.

    This one will keep you up way past bedtime. Can't put it down. Action galore along with a funny sarcastic wit keeps everything flowing. Be aware that this is #4 in a series. Lots of fun.
